Myofascial releases include many techniques to help expand range of motion and restore areas with fasciitis. Disruptions in the myofascial {the connective tissue surrounding muscle} often start small or mildly irritating but can progress into serious issues the longer they remain untreated. By increasing the lengths of the fascia and musculature we are ensuring healthy maturation of the body. Lessening the chance of strains, sprains and aching.

Lymphatic drainage has become widely known and utilized in clearing toxins out of the body. Moving them through built up places such as the neck, armpits, hips and ankles to be flushed through organs responsible for detoxification. The lymphatic systems naturally works to do this as you move, but for a variety of reasons, it can become backed up and overwhelmed. We can work this into your session as a monthly maintenance or as a series of concentrated sessions for more transformative results.

Trigger point therapy is my specialty.

Trigger points seem to be the most common reason people seek bodywork therapy.

At a certain point in life, the hours spent in odd sleeping and working positions catch up to us all. They manifest as hyperirritable points through the muscle bands and shorten the muscles, creating unnecessary pain and limitation.  In order to undo this, ischemic compressions on the point need to be applied to trick the brain into sending a signal to the muscle to 'let go' of those hypertonic fibers. Over time this process reaches the deepest layer of the muscle and the area returns to its' natural state of tonicity and mobility. We will take a thorough journey through your body to relieve these nagging knots to maintain a more vibrant state of being.

Prenatal bodywork is an essential part of the journey. The new areas of tension that arise during all stages of pregnancy should not be left untreated. Sometimes these stages can be difficult to navigate on your own. As a former Doula and experienced prenatal therapist, I'm in your corner during this process with all of the support and advice that I am able to offer. Hold and release techniques, along with head to toe circulatory work, melt cortisol levels, bringing you back to a state of mindfulness, as your body shifts.Your body is doing incredible work and deserves to be treated with special care.

Abdominal visceral therapy is a modality I'm very passionate about and happy to be a gentle guide to for my clients. Around your rip rage and down through the pelvis, we find the insertion of key core muscles, most of which are hard to access. If you've undergone procedures or experienced trauma in this area, you are likely to have muscles that have tightened to protect the surrounding tissues. This tension can work against the efficiency of your internal systems and harbor old energy. Releasing these points open up a wide range of benefits for your body as well as your psyche.
